Q-Switch/Pulse Lasers

Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers. Its lasers feature high reliability, high
stability, high efficiency, low noise and excellent beam quality. These lasers
have been specifically designed for OEM, scientific and industrial
applications.
A Q-switched or pulse laser incorporates a device that "spoils"
the resonator’s normal Q (Quality), keeping it low to prevent lasing
action until a high level of energy is stored. This results in a giant pulse of
power when normal Q is restored. It modulates the Q of laser cavity to build
population inversion first, then releases the accumulated energy suddenly. High
energy pulses can be created in this way. Q-switch devices are typically
electro-optic or acousto-optic.
