Digital Lockin Amplifiers

Scitec Instruments has recently introduced the Model 450DV2 multichannel digital lock-in amplifier which enables simultaneous processing of up to 16 signals. It can extract and measure up to 16 different signals in parallel from either of two analogue inputs. This enables multiple harmonic or subharmonics to be monitored and measured simultaneously, without the need to repeat experiments. Also unique to the 450DV2 is the option to perform sum and difference measurements of two reference frequencies and to perform offset frequency measurements.

Scitec Instruments' DSP lock-in amplifier, Model 450s, is also available. The technology is also available in house for custom digital lock-in amplifier designs. A complete instrument that includes an integrated digital lock-in amplifier has already been successfully designed for a customer. The lock-in amplifier design performed as well as that of an instrument costing x100 more, although the frequency range is limited. An alternative architecture allows single channel operation at up to 10 MHz, 10 channels at 1 MHz or 100 channels at 100 kHz.
