Laser Optics
Scitec Instruments can supply the following laser
optical equipment:
 |
Beam Expander is any optical system
designed to increase the diameter of a laser beam. In most cases, the term is
taken to mean a telescope designed to take a small-diameter collimated beam
input beam and produce a larger diameter collimated output beam, thus reducing
the divergence of the beam. The beam expander consists of a negative input lens
and a positive objective lens. The expansion factor is the ratio of the focal
length of the two lenses. |
 |
Ball Lenses are commonly used for laser
collimating and focusing, laser-to-fibre coupling, fibre-to-fibre coupling, and
fibre-to-detector coupling. |
 |
Half-Ball (hemispherical) Lenses are
ideal for applications such as fibre communication, endoscopy, microscopy,
optical pick-up devices and laser measurement systems. |
 |
Rod Lenses are polished on the
circumference and ground on both ends. Optical performance is similar to a
cylinder lens. Collimated light passing through the diameter of the rod will be
focused into a line. |
 |
Laser Line Generator Lenses can be used
to display a uniform straight reference line for use in alignment, machine
vision systems, construction and process control. In addition, the lenses may
also be used on lower power lasers, (note that intensity will be diminished in
normal work light and distances). Lenses are available in fan angles of
30°, 45°, 60° and 90° are unmounted for custom
applications. |
