Multichannel Digital Lock-in
Amplifier
May 2009, - Scitec Instruments has introduced the 450DV2
multichannel digital lock-in amplifier which
enables simultaneous processing of up to 16 signals.
Digital lock-in
amplifiers are an important tool for measuring the amplitude and phase of
signals buried in noise. Most available lock-in amplifiers are limited to
measuring a single signal at a time. Scitec Instruments Model 450DV2 is
different. It can extract and measure up to 16 different signals in parallel
from either of two analogue inputs. This enables multiple harmonic or
subharmonics to be monitored and measured simultaneously, without the need to
repeat experiments. Also unique to the 450DV2 is the option to perform sum and
difference measurements of two reference frequencies and to perform offset
frequency measurements.
Control of the 450DV2 is nominally by web interface but it can
also be controlled via rs232, telnet or SSH. Internally the unit runs uClinux,
with full source available to allow modification of the system if required.
